The Convenience of Camera Baby Monitors
By now, you've probably heard about the so-called nanny-cam, a hidden camera that allows you to see what goes on at home between your child and the sitter while you are not there. Camera baby monitors come in many different varieties, including those that are small enough to be easily hidden. Then with the right software (which should be included with the camera) you can see what the camera sees in real time, as it happens. Many of these also feature full audio. Some of the top day cares are using these baby cams to allow parents to check in on their youngsters from the office.
Video monitors can also be hooked up to your television for a large screen view of your baby's room. Then there are the video baby monitors that have an LCD or Digital screen that ranges from about 2 to 5 inches attached to the receiver. Inside the transmitter of all these devices is a tiny camera, which captures the live footage of your baby in his or her crib, or wherever you have the camera positioned. Some video monitors are in color, and some are black and white. Image quality varies depending on the make and model you select.
These monitors can be found from all the leading manufacturers, including Graco, Fisher Price, Summer, Philips and more. These companies also make audio baby monitors, which don't offer the advantage of video but are usually cheaper and far more clear in sound than the old-fashioned audio monitors. When it comes to true peace of mind, nothing beats clear audio and video of your child in live time. Whether you are downstairs or at work, checking in on your child in this way can help ease your separation anxiety or any concerns about the care your child is receiving.
Camera baby monitors are getting more and more popular as new parents discover them. While some models can be quite expensive, ranging in the hundreds of dollars, there are monitors that are under $100 which offer video capabilities. It all depends on what features you want in a baby monitor and how much you are willing to spend. You can purchase camera monitors in baby stores and even online, which offers you a more convenient way to browse products and compare features and prices.
